The industrial rock group Gravity Kills announced recently that drummer Kurt
Kerns has left the band. Kerns cited reasons for leaving as a chance for him
to pursue a career in architecture and to spend more time with his family.

Gravity Kills is currently finishing their third record, slated for release
later this year. 

"He is still close with the band and visits the recording studio regularly,"
stated long time friend and guitarist Matt Dudenhoeffer. 

"We will miss him in the band, and plan to stay in close touch," says
vocalist Jeff Scheel. 

Kerns left the band in early August of last year and has been involved in
designing recording studios and radio station facilities across the country. 

Keyboardist Doug Firley adds, "We wish him the best, and we will always be
good friends." The band plans to announce a replacement drummer for touring
at a later date.
