Unofficial information site about the band Gravity Kills |
As part of the official GK site's infamous early-2000 incarnation, Gravity Kills band members participated in a number of online chats with their fans. I did my best to log them, but the Java chat program they used was quite buggy and some stuff was lost.
Here they are, as complete as I could get them, minus extraneous chat room notices and a troll here and there. All of GK's text has been highlighted in red, and I go by the handle "JimTheta" (if anyone cares). If anyone can fill in parts I am missing, send an email.
[18Nov03] There are edits made below that in retrospect, I wish I hadn't made 3 years ago. Who did I think I was to judge the appropriateness of immature comments? I apologize, but I can't get them back.
The first online chat with GK is mostly question-and-answer, with most of the participants getting a feel for it, I think. I cut out a couple (4 or 5, at most) of pointless high-schoolish sex comments that weren't relevant to the discussion. Each section breaks where my browser crashed and resumes when I was able to get back on.
Part 1This second chat was much more laid back than the first; it was more of an online hang-out session. I couldn't log a damn thing this time, but Felicia Kemp managed to get most of it for me, minus a big part of the beginning. Thanks a hell of a lot to Felicia.
There's probably more than half of the chat here, but I don't really know how much we're missing. I cut out some comments from a guy who entered the room, clearly had no idea what was going on, and then left. The chat is divided into three parts to decrease loading time. Nothing is missing between parts.
Part 1This chat was all just messin' around. Musical tastes, beer, haikus, and Napster were all topics touched on. Nothing is edited out (besides room exits/entries), and I (okay, Butane) actually got the whole thing this time.
